Question: If one person participates at the conference, but the paper has been written in cooperation with someone who will be absent, will there be two fees?
Answer: No. Only participants have to pay the registration fee.
Q: My partner would like to come with me and also wants to visit the conference. How much would that cost?
A: In order to enter the conference, your partner must register and pay fee like everyone else.
Q: My partner would like to come with me to Stockholm. How much would that cost?
A: When registering, you can also register your partner as an accompanying person. The fee is 1,250 SEK, including only the Reception at Stockholm City Hall on July 9 and Gala dinner on July 11.
Q: Which countries are considered developing countries (regarding registration)?
A: All countries included in the
OECD/DAC List of Official Development Assistance Recipients.
Q: Does doctoral students also enjoy the reduced student fee?
A: Yes. And also student doing honours years.
Q: I have submitted an abstract. Do I later also have to submit a full manuscript of my presentation?
Q: Will there be a screening of the participants? Can anyone participate?
A: Anyone who register and pays the fee can participate. However, in order to make a presentation, you must have an approved abstract.
Q: When will I learn if my abstract has been approved?
A: Around mid-March.
Q: Will there be scholarships? How do I apply?
A: There will be a limited number of scholarships. We are still not finished with raising the funds and defining the selection criteria.
Q: How can I participate as a volunteer?
A: For practical reasons, only volunteers living in Sweden will be accepted. Please send an email to
with your name, organisation (if applicable), email address, phone number, language skills, and which days you could consider volunteer. Good English skills are required.
You will be contacted later on. Not all applicants will necessarily by accepted.
Q: Is it possible to register a whole group of people at the same time?
A: All participants have to be registered one by one using the online registration form. In case of technical problems, please contact email@example.com.
Q: Do I get a confirmation email after the registration?
A: Yes, after registering you get an email confirmation. If you have chosen to pay by bank transfer, the confirmation will include all necessary information for making the transfer.
Q: We are ten people participating from my organisation. Can you send me an invoice so that I can pay for all of us at once?
A: Our event organiser Congrex does not send invoices. What you can do is to register all your participants through the online registration form, and select “Bank Transfer” as payment method. Make a note of every participant’s reference number (displayed in the form). Then make the bank transfer, and be sure to include each participant’s reference number and names in the bank form.
Q: We are ten people participating from my organisation, but I still do not know whom. Can I pay anyway already to get the reduced fee for early registration?
A: Yes, as long as you already know the number of participants. For each participant, write your organisation’s name as family name and a number as first name: For example: “Family name: Congrex; First name: 1 (for the first registration)”. Later, you have to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the definite names of all participants.
Q: Can I get an invoice for accounting purposes?
A: Our event organiser Congrex does not send invoices. Normally the confirmation sent to you by email after paying will suffice. If that is not the case, please contact email@example.com.
Q: I am affiliated to an organisation member of IASSW. Do I get the reduced fee as member of IASSW, ICSW or IFSW?
A: Yes, you will get the reduced fee, as stipulated in
”Member of IASSW, ICSW or IFSW”
