Online news
>The conference is now well under way. The organizers will not publish news continuously, as there are other media doing that.
>The conference is being covered by the Guardian and @SWSCmedia on Twitter.

CIF-Sweden will also publish news throughout the conference on Facebook.

After the conference, the plenary sessions will by published on a special website.

One-day entrance
>2,000 SEK gives you access to the conference for one day.
>At the conference venue, Stockholmsmässan, we offer you to register and pay onsite. A one-day registration costs 2,000 SEK. It is also still possible to register for the whole conference.

Conference app
>The conference app – through Grupio – gives easy access to important information. A free, wireless, connection is available at the conference venue.
>The conference programme, speakers and much more are available on our app for Iphone, Android, Blackberry. It also accessible for any computer with an internet connection:

For mobile devises: download the Grupio app from App Store, Google Play etc, and then search for the conference's name ("Action" should make it appear in the search result).

It is possible to make your own schedule. Another important feature of the app is that anyone can create his or hers own profile, in order to be visible for the other participants and also interact. Read more about the features at Grupio's own website (Grupio Standard Pro).

Apply for scholarships
>Last week, the abstract authors (with few exceptions) were notified about if they have been approved or not. There are a limited number of scholarships available. Here are the instructions on how to apply.
>The Joint World Conference on Social Work and Social Development: Action and Impact, 8-12 July in Stockholm, Sweden, invites participants to apply for a scholarship including travel, daily allowance and accommodation. The number of scholarships is limited, and only for participants who would not otherwise be able to attend the event due to financial restrictions. In principle, only one author per abstract may be granted a scholarship.

Basic requirements for eligibility:
  1. Participant from developing country (included in the OECD/DAC List of Official Development Assistance Recipients).
  2. Approved abstract.

All applications must be submitted with the following written information:
  1. The applicant’s name, address, citizenship(s) and field.
  2. Abstract number.
  3. Any other scholarship applications related to the conference that has been approved, or in progress. Please specify the highest possible financial contribution.
  4. In what way the applicant would benefit from a scholarship, regarding professional development.
  5. In what way the applicant’s organisation and/or society would benefit from a scholarship.
The scholarship covers:
  1. Registration fee
  2. International flight economy class to and from the conference
  3. Daily allowance (693 SEK in total)
  4. Hotel, 4 nights (July 8 – 12)
  5. Gala Dinner

Applications should be sent by email to at the Conference Secretariat using the attached form. The successful applicants of the scholarships will be selected by the Conference Secretariat. Applications will need to be made by 9 April 2012. The scholarship winners will be informed by 16 April (preliminary date).
